Frequently Asked Questions

Countdown2Drive - FAQ

  • What is Countdown2Drive?
Countdown2Drive is a unique program, aimed at creating a conversation between parent and teens with the goal of creating safer passengers today, hopefully resulting in better drivers tomorrow.
  • Why should I (and my child) participate?
By participating in Countdown 2 Drive, teens and parents will create a customizable Passenger Agreement. This agreement sets commitments, rules, rewards and penalties for the teen to follow as the teens create safe passenger habits. These habits will carry over to when the teens get behind the wheel to drive.
  • Is there a cost to join?
No! Countdown 2 Drive is absolutely free!
  • How do I register?
Create a profile by clicking the appropriate "Teen" or "Parent" icon. From there, fill in your personal information, and choose a unique username and password.
  • How do I create a Passenger Agreement?
After registering at Countdown 2 Drive, follow the prompts within the profile to complete the steps towards creating a Passenger Agreement. If you continue to have problems, read this quick "How To" guide, or view this "How To" presentation.
  • What do I do with the completed Passenger Agreement?
We recommend placing the Agreement in a high-trafficked area. This way, it will always serve as a reminder to follow the Agreement.
  • What other resources are available to me?
On the main page, view the "Resources" tab to find further information about Graduated Licensing Laws, your state laws and safety tips.
  • Who will see my information?
Only Countdown 2 Drive and Safe Kids USA will see your information. We do not sell or distribute your information to anyone.
  • How can I become more involved with Countdown 2 Drive?
You can host a rally in your living room, church or in your community to promote Countdown 2 Drive! View the resources in the "Host your own C2Drally" tab.
